Enabling remote SQL access

If we want to access the database from your desktop or any other workstations you will have to add the your machine public IP to the Remote Database Access Hosts. For example, if you want to access the user say "sqluser" from the IP 000.000.000.000, you will have to add this IP to the Remote Database Access Hosts in cPanel. The following steps will help you to add the IP to the hosts.

*********************************
Login to your cPanel account
In the Databases section of the cPanel home screen, click Remote MySQL.
In the Host text box, type the domain name or IP address of the host that you want to add.
Click Add Host.
*********************************

Once the database access hosts is configured, you can access the database remotely. The host address will be the servers IP and the MySQL port will be 3306.
