Application.cfm/cfc not found or working - Linux Only

If you are using CFML applications on Linux based servers and have an application.cfm/cfc that is not relaying the variables or settings to your ColdFusion code then you need to do a simple change. With Linux everything is case sensitive and for the application.cfm/cfc it requires a capital 'A' on the filename as shown below:

Correct:

  • Application.cfm
  • Application.cfc
Incorrect:
  • application.cfm
  • application.cfc
If this still does not work make sure to check your permissions on the file are set to be readable. You can always contact the support team if you require any assistance.
